Guidance & Procedures
West Berkshire Local Safeguarding Children Board is part of the Pan-Berkshire wide shared child protection procedures consortium.
The Pan-Berkshire Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCB) consortium is the collaboration of six LSCBs joining together on a wider multi-agency platform to work in partnership. This allows for sharing of good practice and development of safeguarding opportunities towards improving outcomes for all children and young people across the Berkshire area.
The shared procedures set out the roles and responsibilities, processes and guidance for multi-agency working in child protection and related areas. They are based on current legislation and guidance, such as Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015 and the Children Act 2004. Professionals and volunteers that are or may be involved in protection of children should develop a good working knowledge and understanding of these procedures.
Pan-Berkshire sub consortium is made up of the following Berkshire Local Safeguarding Children Boards:
- West Berkshire
- The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
